The Brett Tashman Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity, was established in 2015 in memory of Brett Tashman, who succumbed to Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a rare type of sarcoma on September 29th of the same year. Brett was 33 years old; Brett had a heart of gold and a passion for life and deeply impacted all who knew him. He approached everyone with compassion, respect, generosity, kindness, and a genuine interest in their well-being. He was an inspiration to all and made a difference in their lives. He continues to do so through his foundation.

Dear Friends,
Due to COVID-19, the foundation’s golf tournament and luncheon scheduled for July 18, 2020, has been canceled.
Please remember the foundation’s mission is to find a cure for DSRCT. It is a cancer that takes the lives of young adults and children. Accordingly, the foundation’s research at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital must continue and be supported.

The fourth annual Brett Tashman Golf Tournament was a success. We raised over $51,000 for UNC Children’s Medical Center. Brett’s family and friends, as well as the foundation, are grateful for everyone’s support.

The third annual Brett Tashman Foundation Golf Tournament was a huge success! Thanks for everyone who came out and supported this great cause. We were able to raise over $45,000 for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Thank you for helping us exceed last year’s total.
